David is absolutely delighted that his setting of 'There Is No Rose' has been announced as the winner of the Malta International Choir Festival Composition Competition.
A Deep Breath, a documentary that David scored last year, has been selected to be screened at the Miami Short Film Festival in November.
David has been nominated for the European Talent Award 2015 in both the film score and sound design categories, with the winners due to be announced next month after a public showcase at SoundTrack_Cologne.
Earlier this summer David finished working on three new short films that were premiered in London this week: An Allegory of Love (dir. Kateryna Zabulonska), Grip (dir. Laura Seward) and Shy (dir. Emanuele Bonomi).
David has been commissioned to compose a new Missa Brevis for the choir of St Mary Magdalen in the city of Oxford, to receive its premiere on Sunday 15th November, 2015, at the 10.30am High Mass.

On Friday 17th April 2015 David Allen will be accompanying soprano Maria Skiba in a concert of music written for royal consorts from the mid-17th century in the beautiful chapel of Exeter College, Oxford.
David recently finished scoring the film Kingfish, which tells the story of Rudy, a troubled Caribbean fisherman, as he struggles to prove that he has what it takes to be a "real man".
This week David finished working on the score for Love Never Changes, a romantic comedy
