David has just finished composing the score for the biopic Railway Redemption by London-based film company Third Channel, which will be released later this year. Railway Redemption tells the true story of Vijay, a 70-year-old street musician from Sri Lanka, as he returns home to visit his dying brother amidst a troubled history after his wife was accused of murdering his mother. The musical score is a minimalist work that blends the contemporary film music practices of composers such as Alexandre Desplat with postmodern classical techniques pioneered by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt.
