A Man For All Seasons - Original Score
Forbidden - Original Score
David has just begun working on the score for Fiendish Media's latest film, Forbidden, which tells an alternative story of the Garden of Eden. Considering what might have happened in the days of Genesis, the story explores the possible scenario that played out between the first man and woman and the Devil himself.
The music for the film is drawing upon suspense and horror traditions, mixed with influences of Gregorian plainchant and religious choral music, with the idea of creating a score that preludes the Fall and the history of the evil of humankind that followed.
Antigone - Reviews
The exciting new production of Sophocles' tragedy Antigone, translated by Timberlake Wertenbaker, has been receiving much attention from critics during its run at the Southwark Playhouse in May-June 2011.
David Allen composed and recorded the original score for this London Fringe production, with elements from Middle Eastern music and culture as well as a Western approach of unifying the different musical ideas and narrative strands, with a considerable amount of singing and dancing by the large chorus.
Antigone - Original Score
David has been commissioned to compose the music for a major new production of Sophocles' Classical tragedy Antigone at the Southwark Playhouse in the late spring of 2011. Working once again with the critically acclaimed Primavera Productions after their highly successful collaboration on T.S.
